Automatic diagnosis of the best solution for your warehouse!

In our last newsletter, we explored how the HAKO-FLO CLOUD Service can revolutionize typical warehouse floor operations.
In this issue, we take a closer look at the “CLOUD Reconciliation” feature designed to streamline and improve your workflow.

We work closely with your team to ensure optimal use of HAKO-FLO services. Our process includes:

  • Consultation and Proposal: Understanding your specific challenges and how HAKO-FLO can address them.
  • Trial Phase: Run a trial of the proposed HAKO-FLO Service to ensure it meets your needs.
  • Full Installation: Once validated, we proceed with the full installation of HAKO-FLO services on your warehouse floor.
HAKO-FLO Solution implementation steps

The HAKO-FLO service offers HAKO-FLO application software (HAKO-FLO Apps) such as ‘RFID Query’ and ‘EZ report’ along with RFID readers and iPads, for use in the warehouse floor operations. The data read by the HAKO-FLO Apps is stored and managed by the HAKO-FLO CLOUD service (CLOUD Service).

HAKO-FLO Service positioning

Depending on the challenges of your warehouse floor operations, the HAKO-FLO service offers methods of reconciliating (matching) data read by the HAKO-FLO Apps, such as on the device (“Device Matching”) and on the CLOUD service (“Cloud Matching”).

With Device Matching, by downloading information to handheld RFID readers or iPads in advance, it is possible to scan objects on the warehouse floor where there is no network communication environment such as Wi-Fi, and display and verify the scanned information on the HAKO-FLO apps on the devices. Since the information is available on the devices, it also allows to search for specific targets in the warehouse based on such information.

With Cloud Matching, data scanned by the HAKO-FLO apps is uploaded and stored in the CLOUD service, and can be accessed, viewed and matched through your favorite Web browsers and displayed and matched. Data on the CLOUD Service can be accessed anytime and anywhere via the Internet, so data scanned on the warehouse floor can be accessed and viewed remotely from the office or other locations.

Cloud Matching Flow

The Cloud Matching process include: (1) scanning the RFID tags attached to the cargos and items, (2) uploading the scanned data to the CLOUD service, and (3) verifying the data on the CLOUD service. (See Figure 1)
The Cloud Apps also records the date and time of the RFID tags being scanned. This allows users to know when and at what time each tag as scanned during the inbound and outbound shipment process. By importing the issued RFID tag information and incoming schedule information into the CLOUD Service in advance, the scanned RFID tag information can be reconciliated and display information specific to each cargos and items, such as the product names and model numbers related to that target.

Device Matching Flow

In Device Matching (also known as offline matching), a list of targets to be scanned is downloaded to the HAKO-FLO Apps beforehand. This allows you to scan objects even without a network environment such as Wi-Fi.
As the targets are scanned, they are checked against the list on the spot, and the matching results are displayed on the device’s screen. This makes it possible to confirm on the spot that the correct targets are being scanned.

Search specific target – Locate Mode

By downloading the list of targets to the HAKO-FLO apps in advance, it is also possible to search for specific targets in the warehouse.
The handheld RFID readers emit radio waves to read the information on the RFID tags. Therefore, a weak signal from the object indicates that the object is located far away, while a strong signal indicates that the object is located nearby.
RFID Query can search multiple RFID tags simultaneously, allowing you to efficiently search the warehouse.
